Gotta Love Archie #fbf #FlashbackFriday

It’s Flashback Friday.

I loved Archie comics as a kid, my daughters loved Archie comics and now my granddaughter loves Archie comics. They are great entertainment. And now there’s the Netflix series, Riverdale, filmed in Vancouver, which is far more mature than the comics, but still features the kids from the original comics.

What memories do Archie comics bring back for me?

  • lazy Sundays and summer holidays
  • stretching out on the back seat for a long car ride to visit relatives
  • imagining stories with my favorite characters.

What I loved most was that the stories always ended happily. Life in Riverdale was perfect.

Your turn. Did you read Archie comics? What memories do they bring back for you?

Author: Jo-Ann Carson

About Jo-Ann Carson Where magic happens … Reports of Jo-Ann Carson’s death on a Gulf Island are greatly exaggerated or, at the very least, premature. The eclectic crew of ghosts that haunt her head spill onto the page in two series: The Gambling Ghosts and The Ghost & Abby Mysteries. A Viking with existential issues, a broken hearted Highlander, a Casanova man-witch and a Pirate with a secret are just a few of the males her strong heroines encounter in tales of fantasy, adventure and romance. A firm believer in the magic of our everyday lives, Jo-Ann loves watching sunrises, walking beaches near her home in the Pacific Northwest and reading by the fire. 1. I read Archie comic books. I was probably a young kid when I started. My best memories of reading Archie was when I worked at a fast food restaurant and read the comics in the back room.
