5 STAR BOOK REVIEW ON GOODREADS
Maggie Malone returns and so do the dead bodies and the cops. Corpses, blues, smokin’ hot men, Vancouver setting, & a blind man who sees ghosts: that’s the opener for Jo-Ann Carson’s second volume in the Vancouver Blues series. It’s a non-stop action-filled whodunit so suspenseful I almost swallowed my tongue. Plus, the whole hot guys thing mixed with danger makes this a recipe to satisfy mystery-suspense and romance fans alike. Win-win, I think, for both the author & the fans with Ain’t Misbehavin’.
5 Star Book Review on Amazon:
I love Jo-Ann Carson’s heroine, Maggy in the Vancouver Blues Suspense! She’s smart, fiesty, stubborn and very brave, which makes her a great character! I loved, Ain’t Misbehavin, the sequel of Black Cat Blues!
This time, Maggy, a blues singer at the Black Cat Blues Bar, witnesses the murder of a famous politician, that will take her for a roller caster ride of emotions! In the first story, we met the two men she loves dearly, Logan and Hunter, for different reasons. Her relationship with Logan is complicated, and with Hunter it’s a touch and go attachment. Her heart is still torn between the two men, specially when one of them, with a virile chemistry, becomes a devil in disguise. Which one will she choose? What a dilemma!
When tragedy strikes her, personally, Maggy, needs protection. Will her friends be able to protect her, because Maggy, is stubborn, and really does what she wants.
Meanwhile, a murderer is still on the prowl and looking for his next victim! Will he target Maggy? Just follow her wild adventure, you won’t be disappointed!
Jo-Ann Carson has become my favorite writer of mystery-suspense, her stories are thrilling, fast moving, filled with romance, blended with funny and sad moments. She nicely intertwined her charming characters, Maggy, Logan, Hunter, Mei, Joe and even inspector Peterson, into a captivating thriller. Beware, you won’t be able to put it down!

A naked alderman, a haunted trattoria and a love that can not be denied.
When the manager of the Black Cat Blues Bar, singer Maggy Malone, witnesses a murder in her favorite trattoria, her life is upended. Known as the Naked Alderman, the victim is a controversial politician who wants Vancouver to be known as the greenest city in the world. He’s also the lover of Maggy’s best friend. Despite his noble ideals, his head ends up in the pasta.
The last thing Maggy wants to do is chase another murderer. She’s worked hard to keep the Black Cat afloat and sort out her life, which is complicated by two, hot men, and acts of sabotage at her dock community on Granville Island.
But when the body count rises, Maggy decides to catch the killer.
Ain’t Misbehavin’ is the second story in the Vancouver Blues series. If you like ghost stories and urban noir, you’ll love this book, which combines all of their best traits in a fast-paced, captivating and sensual, romantic suspense.
