In Black Cat Blues the heroine Maggy Malone is a sultry Blues singer. One of the tunes she’s known for is, “I Put a Spell on You” .

For your TGIF entertainment, I’m sharing three versions of the song that make me think of Maggy Malone.

Joss Stone

Samantha Fish Band

Annie Lennox (Fifty Shades of Grey)

Got a favorite?

  1. Jo-Ann it’s really hard to pick one. Joss Stone always amazes me and she and Samantha have that “gritty” sound to their voice. Annie’s version is a smooth, seductive sound. Soooo, I guess I have to say I like them all and it would depend on my mood which one I’d listen to. 🙂 (how’s that for wishy washy?)
