Why #Vancouver 2 – Shooting #Zombies

Vancouver is a gorgeous city surrounded by mountains and oceans. I could write a zillion posts about the unique parts of the town like Gastown, Yaletown, Commercial Street, Granville Island and Stanley Park, but I’d never be able to capture all of it’s sweet, west coast charm. The other problem with focusing on hot spots is that a cazillion bloggers have already done that.

So I thought I’d write about zombies. Yes, zombies.

IMG_20151125_073124How many places can you go and shoot a zombie?  You can do it in Vancouver. For a fun event I went with friends to the Vancouver Gun Range. For a reasonable price they supplied us with handguns and ammunition and gave instructions on how to shoot.

I was pumped. Adrenalin rushed through me and it was really fun. My aim wasn’t the best, but I blame the zombie. I swear it moved. So when the Zombie Apocalypse happens, don’t come looking for me.

Why does shooting zombies matter?

It’s not the zombie, or the gun, or the bullets– it’s the fact that you can do just about anything in Vancouver. It’s a laid back, fun place to be.

Unless you’re a zombie.

My Point is – Anything can happen in Vancouver

Y Vancouver is a min-series I’m writing on Wednesday’s on my blog, to explain BlackCat_CVR_LRGwhy I chose the city for the setting of my new suspense series (Vancouver Blues). Black Cat Blues launches January 15th, 2016.

Last Wedensday – Y Vancouver #1

Next Wednesday – Y Vancouver #3 – It’s all about the light

Wanna connect? My questions today are:

1) Ever wanted to shoot a zombie?

2) What is your favorite zombie show, or

3) What crazy thing have you done in Vancouver? (G rated please)
