Mystic’s Touch by Dena Garson

An interesting behind the scenes tidbit: The music used in the video was a score by Kevin MacLeod. I found the piece ON THE FIRST TRY. It fit the mood and tone I wanted for the video perfectly – so much that I couldn’t believe my luck. Unfortunately it was a too short for the video at the time. I searched for another week trying to find one I liked even half as well but with the length as I needed. In the end, nothing else would satisfy me so I ended up looping the score around and making it replay again (I’m thrilled I managed to do it at a place where it’s not that noticeable).

 Blurb:

When Prince Ceros returns home to take his place on the throne, he falls prey to a mysterious malady that leaves him unable to speak or move, though his thoughts and awareness remain intact. Danet, a talented healer, realizes the prince is alert inside his body. The two are able to share thoughts telepathically. Unfortunately her connection with Ceros may bring unwanted attention to her abilities and result in her banishment from the city.

Their unique bond grows as Danet races to find a remedy for the prince’s condition. Desire turns to love, which makes Danet fear for their future when he awakens. They seek out the villain attempting to take the throne and endeavor to find a way to stay together.

Inside Scoop: Ceros’ secret shifter status adds complication and intrigue to their budding romance.

  1. Hi Dena,
The trailer is great, very atmospheric. The music adds a lot. As a photographer I am concerned with copyright issues and wonder about how people find the music for their trailers and if there are copyright issues to address. Any thoughts?

    1. I was told about Kevin MacLeod’s website years ago when I first learned how to make trailers. He has expanded his site over the years and seems to include more than just his own music now. But everything is royalty-free they just ask that you credit the artist. They even provide sample verbiage to use. So, word of mouth and internet searches are probably most common ways of finding music.
