Day 1 – RWA Adventure

We talked our way across the Salish Sea and with the help of a Ferry landed in Vancouver. Tomorrow our flight leaves for LAX.

We’ve been talking non-stop about writing, books…and life.

The pictures were taken at the River Rock Casino.

Yes, I do know the pictures are sideways. …And I do know how to edit pictures. But these two are being stubborn and my internet connection is ridiculously slow in our less than elegant penthouse suite.

Sooo for now, we’re sideways:) Hopefully I’ll be able to right myself later.

Looking forward to tomorrow:)

  1. Since I didn’t take a laptop, I couldn’t respond. Let’s say Mimi was our guide, thus we trudged down the street to find the mall. Misguided by the reception desk clerk at our hotel, we innocently thought it would be a ten minute walk. Tromp. Tromp. Hmmm, stopped at Budget Rent A Car. “Do you know where such-n-such mall is? “Well ladies if you cross the street and take the sky train, it’s two stops down the line.” Duh?!
Post mall…(We actually closed it down. Mimi thought because Shoppers was open til midnight the whole damn mall was. Wrong!!!) Smart enough to return on the skytrain but overshot our mark. Mimi zoned in on RiverRock casino. “Let’s get off here!” “Sure”, JoAnn and I churp. (hehe)
Post wine toasts at the casino and the sideway pics, we figured it was a short walk to our hotel. But where is it? Do we go right or left? Spy a handsome hazel eyed toned body hunk of a doorman and sidle up to him with batting eyes (had something in them) and breathlessly ask him for help before we swoon at his feet.. He quickly told us where to go. Still decisions had to be made. Okay, we got to the right street but which way? Left or Right? Then Mimi spies a recognizable landmark…Starbucks. Saved! Sad tale when Starbucks ends up the hero instead of the hunk!
