Six Sentence Sunday (03/25/2012)

Vancouver: where the story begins

The idea of ” Six Sentence Sunday” is that you post six sentences from one of your books or manuscripts, and post a link to it on the Six Sentence Sunday website. It’s a way of putting small pieces your writing out to your audience. All comments are appreciated.

Book: The Dutch Kiss (working title for a first wip in my Nederlander series)

Set Up: The book opens with Angela waking in the middle of the night to find two men have broken into her apartment. She escapes out the window onto a thin ledge.

“…Would they follow her out onto the ledge, or would they shoot her from the window?

She could jump. She was three stories up, and would probably break something. If she was lucky she might limp away, but if she hit her head…. She looked down. The ground blurred beneath her.”

Do you want to read more? I hope so.

Happy Sunday

Author: Jo-Ann Carson

About Jo-Ann Carson Where magic happens … Reports of Jo-Ann Carson’s death on a Gulf Island are greatly exaggerated or, at the very least, premature. The eclectic crew of ghosts that haunt her head spill onto the page in two series: The Gambling Ghosts and The Ghost & Abby Mysteries. A Viking with existential issues, a broken hearted Highlander, a Casanova man-witch and a Pirate with a secret are just a few of the males her strong heroines encounter in tales of fantasy, adventure and romance. A firm believer in the magic of our everyday lives, Jo-Ann loves watching sunrises, walking beaches near her home in the Pacific Northwest and reading by the fire.
